Green tea has also been found to prevent or stop certain types of cancer. Men who drank the most green tea were found to have 86% less a chance of contracting prostate cancer. Considering the large amount of men who contract prostate cancer, it is a wonder we don’t see more public service announcements concerning this. It has also been shown to protect against lung cancer, bladder cancer, colorectal cancer and breast cancer.
While most research concentrates on green tea, it is likely that black tea does also have many of the same properties. Green tea is simply black tea that is harvested earlier.
Either way, simply putting down the can of soda and replacing it with tea is a great way to switch to a medicine snack. And think of all the money and the stress that disease can bring. Is it really worth hanging on to junk sodas?
